The Olympic and Paralympic Games are above all a Collective Adventure for all Parisians. Those Games are in the Heart of the City, Sober and Local Games that largely replace Existing Ones and do not create anything that is not Useful for Tomorrow.
Those Commitments were a Sine Qua None Condition of the Paris Candidacy for the Games and structure the City Action. Thus the Sports Infrastructures which will host the Olympic and Paralympic Events, illustrate the Commitments of the Capital both in its Desire to considerably reduce the Carbon Impact of the Games as well as in the Promise of making this Exceptional Event an Accelerator of Ecological and Social Transformations of the City.
All Sports Facility Development Operations carried out as part of the Paris 2024 Games respond to a Long-Term Strategy to offer a Lasting Legacy to Parisians, identified and planned with Local Stakeholders. These Developments, beyond their Use during the Games, aim to improve the Living Environment of Residents by building, renovating and making accessible Local Public Sports Facilities increasingly Popular with Parisians.
In order to reduce the Carbon Impact of the Games, the City and the Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games wanted to capitalize on Existing Infrastructure, which will represent 70% of the Infrastructure used for the Games. As a reminder, nearly 95% of the Equipment used for the Games is already existing or temporary. In existing infrastructure, Accessibility, improving Public Reception Conditions and improving Energy Performance are at the Heart of the Work. Five Sports Sites are being renovated in preparation for the Games in Paris.
As part of hosting the Games, it was decided to build a Single Facility within Paris itself: the Adidas Arena, Porte de la Chapelle. A True Demonstrator of Low-Carbon Construction, the Arena brought with it the Transformation of an Entire Neighborhood.
- The Adidas Arena, Porte de la Chapelle, a Structure designed for the Region ( The Only Games Site Built Intra-Muros)

Symbol of the Accelerating Effect of the Games, this New Equipment under study since 2014 responds to a Strong Ambition for the City to have on its Territory an Intermediate Capacity Hall of 8,000 Seats allowing the holding of Sporting Events , Shows and hosting Competitions during the Games.
The Arena is also the Perfect Embodiment of Games that are Sober and Useful to Residents. The only New Equipment built in Paris Intramural for this Event, it is also the first New Olympic Structure to be delivered and operated, more than 5 Months before the Start of the Games.
A Leading Figure in the Transformation of the Porte de la Chapelle District, the Arena is resolutely focused on the Residents of the District by integrating Two Local Gymnasiums as well as a Range of Leisure and Shopping Facilities.
The Arena will thus be the Gateway to the Gare des Mines-Fillettes Sector which is currently Undergoing Reconstruction, a District which extends on either side of the Ring Road over an Area of ??approximately 20 Hectares between the Portes de la Chapelle and Aubervilliers. It will open up the Charles Hermite City and strengthen the Links between Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis with the Arena at the Forefront. Thus, with the Stade de France and the Aquatic Center in Saint-Denis, the North-East of Paris will be equipped with Cutting-Edge Sports Equipment, adapted both to High- Level Sports Practice and to the Practice of Sport for all.
- An Arena accessible to All

For the first time, the Accessibility Label is implemented on Arena Type Equipment. This Label attests to the Capacity of this Equipment to accommodate all publics who will attend it in the Best Possible Conditions, whether for Sporting or Cultural Events, or even Training for Residents of the Neighborhood for the Gymnasium Section, whether these People are Able-Bodied or have a Physical Disability or Visual or Hearing Impairment. The Arena benefits from Innovative Arrangements and Equipment facilitating and securing Accessibility to all Spaces, such as:
* A Sensory Room, allowing the Reception of People with Behavioral Disorders or Autism, which is unprecedented in France

* The Installation of External Sound Beacons around the Building to facilitate Access for Blind People

* The Presence of Places adapted to different Disabilities, equipped with Wheelchair Charging Sockets, allowing you to be accompanied by an Assistance Dog but also to attend Events with loved ones thanks to Companion Seats
* The Provision of Adapted Toilets, some of which are Gender Neutral to allow Assistance to people with Disabilities by Companions of the Opposite Sex.

- More Than A Sports Arena, A Place Of Living, Sharing And Exchanges
* Located in a new Mixed Neighborhood between the Portes de la Chapelle and Aubervilliers, with the Creation of the ZAC Gare des Mines-Fillettes, the Arena and its Two Attached Gymnasiums will meet the Needs of the District in terms of Local Sport and will be intended to the Inhabitants. Thus, Associations, Clubs and School Groups in the Neighborhood will be able to benefit from two new Gymnasiums manufactured to promote Physical and Sporting Activity.
* A Complementary Program of 2600m³ will be intended for a Leisure and Shopping offer aimed at the Neighborhood

* The Arena Porte de la Chapelle also responds to a Long-Standing Desire of the City of Paris to have Intermediate Gauge Equipment which will allow the holding of Major Sporting Events. Thus, after the Games, High-Level Sport will continue to be present with Sporting Competitions at National or International Level and, upon its Delivery, Paris Basketball will be the only Resident Club of this Arena to live up to its Sporting Ambitions.
* Beyond Sport, the Arena is a Brand New Cultural Hub in North of Paris, which from its Opening, will be able to host Concerts, Shows and Various Conferences of which Parisians will be the First Beneficiaries.
